Our
House
Where Healing Happens
The Next Step Recovery House for Women is located in downtown Weaverville,
a charming mountain town just 15 minutes north of Asheville, NC.
Our historic house was built in 1904
and was home to the town’s first mayor. In 2005, the house was fully
restored and beautifully furnished. We can accommodate up to 11 women in double-occupancy
rooms and a large suite with a private balcony.
Our recovery house has
a large fully equipped kitchen, four and one-half baths, spacious living and
dining areas, an expansive rocking chair porch overlooking the gardens, and
a garden-view multipurpose room that is used for our relapse-prevention and
life-skills classes, house meetings and movie nights.
We also have nearly one acre of formal Japanese gardens
that feature a waterfall, koi pond, tea house, quiet walking paths and numerous
outdoor seating and meditation areas. Our beautiful home, gardens and supportive
community provide the perfect setting for women recovering from the trauma
of substance abuse and addiction. |
