Our Team
Our women’s recovery program is led by our highly qualified and caring staff
that includes licensed, nationally certified counselors and clinical addictions
specialists who have considerable experience in community counseling, woman’s
issues and transformational work.
Susan Stader, MS, LPC, LCAS, NCC, is
Next Step Recovery’s founder and executive director. Susan
is a licensed professional counselor specializing in substance
abuse issues and holds a master’s degree in community counseling.
She founded the Next Step Recovery House for Men in 2006
to support adult males recovering from substance abuse.
She opened the Next Step Recovery House for Women in 2009
to support the needs of adult women in recovery.
Mark Vander Galien
MS, LPC-A, NCC, is
the director of Next Step Recovery’s women's program. Mark
is a nationally certified counselor and holds a master's
degree in community counseling. He has considerable experience
working with women with substance abuse issues in a variety
of settings including clinical programs, transitional living
programs and wilderness therapy.
Laura Haas, MA, LPC, is
a House Clinician for our women's program where she leads
a relapse prevention and life-skills groups, provides clinical
support to residents, and assists with the daily operation
of the home. Laura is a licensed counselor and holds a
master's degree in community counseling. She specializes
in the treatment of co-occurring disorders and group work.
Laura enjoys being a part of the transformational power
of community and helping residents recover their sense
of purpose and resiliency. |
